BIG 5 WALKING SAFARIS
Safari on Foot
BIG 5 WALKING SAFARIS
Nothing compares to the feeling of walking through the wilderness – your senses on high alert, you smell the dew-drenched grasses, hear the tweet of a bird and the crack of a twig underfoot, see the colours of the bush and feel your heart beating in anticipation of encountering wildlife, all whilst concentrating on your expert guide who signals a secret language of gestures to communicate the navigation. It’s the ultimate adventure and a truly authentic and rewarding experience.
These Big 5 walking safaris are carried out by highly skilled, armed rangers that are so experienced, the game will never know that you’re there! They’ll impart their exceptional knowledge of trees, animals, grasses, insects and birds, and offer insight to their world of tracking and survival skills. The walking safaris are limited to 4 – 8 persons, 16 years and older, and generally run for 3 – 5 nights, but can be tailored to suit your preferences.
“Nothing but breathing the air of Africa, and actually walking through it, can communicate the indescribable sensations.”
- William Burchell
