Head out on a safari in the Queen Elizabeth National Park and witness the famous tree-climbing lions; trek through the Kibale Forest National Park in search of chimpanzees, red colobus, monkeys and other primates; float along the Ishasha River watching the wildlife drinking from the banks; marvel at the birdlife of which Uganda has 1080 species (about 60% of the bird species in Africa); hike to the magnificent waterfalls in the Murchison Falls National Park; and visit Jinja, known as the Adventure Capital as it offers a range of activities but is best known for their wild water rafting!

Uganda can be visited year-round as the temperatures barely change through the seasons, sitting around 24°C to 30°C. Rainfall can be expected any month, however the dry seasons run from December to March and then June to September.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
January and February and June to September, when the conditions are particularly good for trekking and safaris.

The heavy rains are generally from March to June and October to December

REGIONS IN UGANDA
Entebbe
Entebbe lies on the shores of Lake Victoria and serves as the gateway to the areas of Uganda as it’s Uganda’s only international airport. An overnight stop here is perfect pre- or post your trip to link seamlessly with your flights.
Bwindi
More than half the world’s population of mountain gorilla reside in Bwindi, however there’s also healthy numbers of chimpanzee’s, monkeys and other primates, as well as 350 bird species and some small antelope, reptiles and incredible plant life.
Queen Elizabeth
The Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to 4 of the Big 5 (no rhino), but the highlights are encountering a tree-climbing lion, chimpanzee trekking in the far corner and floating down the Kazinga Channel witnessing some of the best wildlife and bird sightings.
Jinja
This is the 4th largest town in Uganda and lies on the shores of Lake Victoria and on the banks of the Nile. White-water rafting on the River Nile is one of the popular attractions with 9 major rapids along the route, of which four are a grade 5!
Kibale Forest
The Kibale Forest is a beautiful area of pristine tropical rainforest and undulating hills interspersed with volcanic crater lakes. It’s home to the greatest variety of primates, a healthy population of mammals, incredible birdlife and a rich array of tropical plants.
Ngamba Island
Set just outside of Entebbe and surrounded by the peaceful waters of Lake Victoria, this island is 100 acres of rain forest utilised as a sanctuary for 52 orphaned and rescued chimpanzees which provides an exceptional opportunity to closely observe these fascinating great apes.
